The Operation Excellence Manager will drive and support Continuous Improvement activities being undertaken throughout the business. This role is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of OINA’s Operational Excellence Programs to all OINA sites. The Operation Excellence Manager interacts cross-functionally both internally and with external customers/vendors.
You will report directly to the Head of Operational Excellence for Ornua Ingredients North America, headquartered in Hilbert, WI, with manufacturing facilities located in Hillsboro, Hilbert, and Whitehall, WI, as well as Byron, MN.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Key Requirements
- Facilitate the development and implementation of OINA’s Operational Excellence program.
- Manage the relationship with a third-party partner assisting in implementing Ornua’s Operational Excellence program.
- Support Ornua Operational Excellence activities within business units as required (including manufacturing, warehousing, back office, external supply chain, maintenance and quality).
- Ensure KPI alignment across all 5 OINA sites. Hold all sites accountable for timely, accurate information.
- Manage RedZone Productivity program including controlling all administrative functions.
- Utilize lean tools to identify opportunities and successfully deliver continuous improvement projects/initiatives in line with the business strategic goals.
- Support project teams on the delivery of specific continuous improvement project.
- Provide Lean/Six Sigma belt training where required.
- Any other responsibilities deemed appropriate to the role.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Engineering, Manufacturing or science discipline or related field or equivalent work experience is required
- Proven experience in identifying and delivering continuous improvement projects and activities, preferably in a manufacturing environmen
- Lean/Six Sigma qualifications or equivalent experience
- High degree of proficiency working in Microsoft office suite
