Job Title:     Quality Assurance Technician     

Reports to:  Quality Manger

Location:     Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE

 

The QAT will be responsible for monitoring the compliance with quality standards right through the supply chain to ensure product conforms to specification and food safety practices and assist in documentation involving BRC, HACCP, Food Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices.

 

Assist in implementing the comprehensive quality and food safety systems (BRC, HACCP, Food Safety, etc.) the organization have in place.

Ensures that all the finished products/raw material/ in process samples conform to the established internal standards.

 

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

 

  • In-line quality monitoring
  • Raw material, Packaging material and Finished product inspection.
  • Technical problem solving.
  • Record keeping and reporting.
  • Regulatory compliance.
  • Calibration and maintenance.
  • Internal Auditing.
  • Physical, chemical, and microbiological assessment.
  • Organoleptic assessment.
  • Accident and Incident reporting and investigation.
  • H&S Risk Assessment.

 

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Manage day to day laboratory duties.
  • Responsible for product quality to ensure product parameters matches specifications.
  • Document inspections of incoming Raw Materials/ Packaging Materials / In‐process Materials.
  • Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness, and report failures.
  • Analyse quality control test results and communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments.
  • Produce reports regarding non-conformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.
  • Supervise, host, or conduct internal and external audits. Follow up with action plans.
  • Document, investigate and respond to customer complaints.
  • Organoleptic tests of finished goods to ensure acceptance to standards, taste, eye appeal, odour etc.
  • Introduce, monitor, and update quality and food safety programs in conjunction with other departments to meet company and regulatory objectives such as SFDA and GSO. This includes, but is not limited to quality control testing framework, microbiological testing framework, BRC, HACCP, food safety and defence procedures, pesticide residue control framework, GMP’s, pest management and housekeeping/sanitation practices.
  • Work with production and warehouse to control, maintain, and/or improve as appropriate the handling, storage and usage for re-work and all other materials.
  • Any other tasks assigned by QA Manager in order to assist in meeting company objectives.

  • To report to my line manager accident, whether lost time or none lost time, near miss and good catches.
  • To maintain the safety environment for self and colleagues.
  • To adhere H&S procedure, attend training and comply with instruction. In in case of noncompliance, I’ll be intitled to disciplinary actions.
  • To report unsafe working condition, and/ or unsafe act done by a colleague.
