WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE
The Dairy Technologist, in addition to handling the regular job of plant operation (Low care and High care filling and/or processing operations), will be responsible for monitoring the end-to-end activities of the area. It includes ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality products, technical problem solving, continuous improvement activities, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Technical Knowledge and expertise in production process Deep technical knowledge on each product and processing line. End to end knowledge of SCADA operation and final filling machines including its troubleshooting. Actively participating in and contributing to continuous improvement of the production process (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability and Morale)
- Material Management: Should have the ability to handle ERP system for the production area. Including but not limited to; creation and closing of manufacturing orders, reporting total FGs, complete traceability of material movement.
- Chemical and Consumables management: Management of the production area’s chemicals and consumables including consumption details, demand planning, availability of the required consumables by closely liaising with the budget owner.
- Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Should have a proactive approach towards machine availability. Planning and execution of preventive maintenance, pre and post inspection from food safety and QA perspective for preventive and corrective maintenance. Escalation of ongoing issues on time.
- Training and Development: Provide appropriate regular training for colleagues, new joiners and trainees to develop their knowledge and skills to do the assigned tasks and continual improvement.
- RCA & CAPA: Lead and/or participate in Root Cause Analysis of operational issues to identify corrective and preventive actions with the team. Knowledge of the Lean Six Sigma methodology is preferrable.
- Quality management: Proactive approach in maintaining the quality environment within the production area by enforcing and reviewing SOPs, Cleaning & Sanitation program, appropriate training to the team members and Quality audits. Knowledge of HACCP and QMS is preferrable
- Health and Safety: Proactive approach in maintaining the safe work environment within the production area by enforcing and reviewing SOPs, Safety protocols and policies, implementing regular health & safety training to the team members and Safety audits.
