Hours: Fixed Night Shift- 10:00pm-6:00am, Monday to Friday

Ornua is actively seeking a Relief Night Shift Manager to join our operations department as we continue our growth trajectory.
The Relief Night Shift Manager will play a key role in; overseeing the running of the production lines, ensuring production targets & efficiencies are achieved against planned production and line running speeds.

Why This Role Is Valuable:
As our Relief Night Shift Manager you will be responsible for leading on;
- Fully running the shift, in the Shift Manager’s absence, including attending meetings and taking actions.
- Completing daily shift reports.
- Carrying out RTW and informal/Disciplinary hearings.
- Investigation and completing work related accidents.
- Lead the development of improvements and line effectiveness of operations & production through contribution to cross-functional working, performance improvement initiatives and the development of operational process.
- Ensure that all employees are fully adhering to Quality, Hygiene and Health & Safety policies & procedures, drive completion of near miss and good catch cards.
- Ensure paperwork is accurately completed to record production activity.
- Monitor and drive quality, hygiene and GMP KPI’s.
- Monitor production lines for faults and improvement, report to the Shift Manager/Engineer as required and capture on Redzone.
- Monitor & drive production output against daily planned targets.
- Ensure quality checks are performed routinely as required and Quality policies & procedures are adhered to.
- Raising non-conformances and closing assigned non-conformances out in a timely manner.
- Working with the Shift Manager and Site Trainer to ensure new staff are fully inducted and all staff are fully trained in all aspects of their role, identifying gaps in training & up skilling requirements of the production team.
- Material area checks and investigating.
- Attending and investigating daily material variances meeting.
- Driving and actioning daily huddles on lines.
- Control of labour/skills using shift planned rota.
- At times required on line and cover break cover.
What You Bring To The Role:
- Food Hygiene Level 2, preferably Level 3
- People management experience, including a proven track record of recruiting, managing, motivating and training staff.
- In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety and Technical legislation/procedures/SOPs
- Demonstrated level of spoken and written English
- Knowledge of MS Office and food manufacturing software e.g. M3, Redzone.
