Ornua supplies superior quality dairy ingredients to leading global food manufacturers from some of the world’s most technically advanced manufacturing and prepacking facilities located in Africa, Ireland, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK and the US.

Job Summary: 

 

A great opportunity to lead the Talent agenda for Ornua Ingredients, while the current role-holder takes up an international assignment. The role involves working closely with the HR Business Partners for Ingredients Europe and Ingredients North America to support on talent development, employee engagement, talent and succession, team and leadership development, training delivery and change management.

 

Ingredients Europe has three sites in the UK: Nantwich, Leek and Ledbury and one site in Avila, Spain. Ingredients North America currently has two sites in the US, in Wisconsin and Minnesota and this is likely to increase through acquisition.

 

This is a 12 month fixed term contract. 

 

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

 

  • Work in partnership with HR Business Partners for Ingredients Europe and Ingredients North America to deliver on talent development requirements for their business areas.
  • Design and deliver appropriate people leadership and team development interventions, including the ‘Ornua People Leadership’ suite and ‘Managing Matters’ programmes.
  • Design and deliver professional skills training programmes and source external expertise and vendors as needed.
  • Lead employee communication activities for Ingredients Europe.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives across Ingredients Europe and North America, which support key areas of focus from the Your Voice survey.
  • Co-ordinate the Talent and Succession planning process to ensure follow-through delivery of supporting development interventions.
  • Support, develop and coach local people managers in relation to their approach and consideration of people issues and development needs.
  • As a member of the Group Talent and Transformation team, leverage the organisation-wide tools and initiatives for the benefit of Global Ingredients.
  • Provide change management expertise and leadership as needed to support

      components of our business transformation programme, Evolve.

  • In partnership with the HR Business Partners, drive the performance management   

      process across the Ingredients Europe and North America, implementing initiatives to

      support a high-performance culture.

 

      

Key requirements

 

  • A relevant HR degree or post-graduate qualification is essential.
  • At least 8+ years post-qualification experience in a talent development role. Experience in a manufacturing/FMCG environment would be an advantage.
  • Strong experience in some or all of the following strategic HR/Talent Development activities: learning and development, facilitation and training delivery, performance management, employee engagement, leadership and team development, talent and succession planning and change management.
  • Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to quickly interpret key stakeholders needs and convert them into achievable and timely solutions.
  • Willingness to undertake short-term travel on occasion to other Ornua locations.
