Markets are served by production facilities in Ireland, Germany and the UK and by in-market Sales and Marketing teams in Asia, Germany, Ireland, MEA, Poland, Spain, rest of Europe, and North and Latin America.

 

Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products, for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world, and for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies. The business is supported by production facilities in the UK, Spain, the US, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.

WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE

 

The Shift Manager role will be responsible for leading a shift of operators to hit performance KPIS, drive employee engagement and support continuous improvement activities. 

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

 

  • Drive a culture of Safety and Quality amongst the team. 
  • Ensure full compliance with technical and food hygiene standards to ensure product meets all appropriate quality and safety standards
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including H&S, Maintenance, Quality and Supply Chain. 
  • Ensure training and development plan is in place for all team members to build skills capability of the team. 
  • Ensure all MOs are closed off correctly
  • Investigate complaints specific to the shift, ensures complaint documentation is completed within the agreed timeframe
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement projects for the shift
  • Liaise with the planner ref. adherence to schedule
  • Lead and monitor team huddles to ensuring that actions are closed off in a timely fashion
  • Drive GMP across the production floor and close off actions as required.
  • Manage payroll hours for the team.
