The Group is structured across two divisions: Ornua Foods and Ornua Ingredients. Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands, including Ireland’s most successful food export, Kerrygold, as well as Kerrygold Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Forto and BEO milk powders. Markets are served by production facilities in Ireland, Germany and the UK and by in-market Sales and Marketing teams in Asia, Germany, Ireland, MEA, Poland, Spain, rest of Europe, and North and Latin America.
Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products, for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world, and for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies. The business is supported by production facilities in the UK, Spain, the US, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Demand data analysis to identify trends, bottlenecks & risks, propose solutions as appropriate.
- Provide accurate reports to stakeholders in a timely fashion to maintain the effectiveness of the demand planning operations.
- Provide timely and accurate data to the supply planning teams to allow production scheduling to flow from the demand plans.
- Present accurate data and proposed solutions at the monthly KGP S&OP – identifying key issues that could impact on demand (capacity constraints on the plant, too much stock in the SC etc).
- Key participant in local & global S&OP process, attend & present as required.
- Presenting the demand plan data (18 month rolling, monthly) to the Supply Chain Manager in KGP to allow analysis/planning of contracted cream, weekly production, and packaging forecasts for supplier
- Overlaying the yearly cream supply plan with demand – highlight areas of concern
- Work with the Finance team to align on projected monthly & yearly budgets and flashes.
- Work with the KGP Finance and Supply Chain teams to meet the monthly and yearly budgeted figures
- Complete book end report monthly on all retail butter and bulk (std & softer) stocks.
- Create & maintain bulk Butter production plans, in line with the overall monthly planning cycle.
- Create & maintain KGP bulk Butter forecast for microfixing, taking account of seasonality, cream plan & loss in process.
- Assist with maintenance of retail Butter suppliers’ M3 Purchase Agreements.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships and mutual trust with cross functional stakeholders.
- Support planning & material call off team as required
Key Competencies & Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent, preferably supply chain or business management
- Proven demand planning experience
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Experience in analyzing and interpretating data
- Problem solver and proven ability in identifying and developing practical solutions
