The Group is structured across two divisions: Ornua Foods and Ornua Ingredients.

 

Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Kerrygold, Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Forto and BEO. Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and the US.

 

Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world. Ornua Ingredients is also responsible for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies. The business is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.

 

Kerrygold Park is Ornua’s new state of the art manufacturing facility and centre of excellence for the Kerrygold Brand. 

 

This is a 12 month fixed term contract. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Delivering continuous improvement initiatives within the site Operations Function to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost objectives.
  • Support operational process excellence and knowledge capture in day-to-day operations through the deployment of accurate/ accessible resources & process parameter mapping.
  • Support the deployment and advocate for the use of best-in-class Continuous Improvement Tools on site.
  • Develop, lead and deliver structured change management for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse operational data and actively identify opportunities for improvements on site.
  • Support/motivate project teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of continuous improvement projects
  • Support continuous improvement education and training, in partnership with the OpEx team
  • Provide regular communication of project status to departmental staff and leadership.
  • Comply with the H&S policy and procedures and build H&S culture through best H&S practices in all work activities

 

Key Requirements:

 

  • 3rd level qualification (Bachelor's degree desirable) and relevant experience; preferred disciplines: Sciences, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management or  5+ years' relevant experience in a in a GMP manufacturing environment.

  • Lean Six Sigma Qualification desirable.
