Reports to:                 Senior UK Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location:                     Leek with travel to UK sites as required (hybrid working is offered with this role).

Salary:                         £25,000 - £30,000 plus £5,500 per annum car allowance

The business is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.

Key Areas of Responsibility:


For this role we are looking for you to have experience working within a similar role within an in-house or agency team. You will have outstanding communication skills and be able to manage a high-volume workload. 


  • Creating a pipeline of candidates via engagement with the local community, on social media platforms through varying methods; with particular emphasis on Operations candidates.
  • To support the recruitment process of Operational staff at Operative and First Line Management level including regular update meetings with on-site agency providers.
  • Work with the HR Business Partners to improve retention of key talent through supporting L&D activities.
  • Make pro-active contact (head hunting) with candidates to gain interest for opportunities within the Ornua UK sites
  • Advertising all vacancies internally, onto company website, job boards and social media
  • Updating the internal ATS system and supporting the candidate journey.
  • Updating weekly reporting statistics in connection with time to hire and costs.


Key requirements


  • Engage and partner with external providers i.e. Job Centres, Colleges / Universities to promote our UK vacancies. 
  • Represent the Company at job fairs and career events.
  • Manage the Company’s social media profiles to promote the Ornua Foods brand locally and further afield.
  • Working in liaison with HR Business Partners to formulate and maintain Role Profiles for vacancies and existing roles.
  • Take an active role in the recruitment of Production Operatives including attendance at open days and assessment centres.




  • Previous experience of working within a recruitment role.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms particularly LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook for the purposes of promoting vacancies.
  • IT literate with good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Able to engage effectively at the required level both internally and externally, building working relationships based on mutual trust and respect.
  • Own car and driving licence due to the locations and travel requirements of this role.
  • Up to date recruitment law and legislation knowledge.



  • Previous experience of working within an FMCG environment or fast paced environment
