Reports to Manufacturing Services Team Leader

Location:  Sunnyhills Road, Leek                      

Salary: £13.50ph

Hours: Rotating Shifts – Monday to Friday 06:00am to 14:00pm / 14:00pm to 22:00pm

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

 

  • To ensure FLT’s are driven safely and are checked for safe operation before use including battery
  • To ensure Manufacturing areas are provided with required materials in a timely manner
  • To ensure all stock transactions are carried out correctly and with accuracy
  • To ensure PPE is worn correctly at all times.
  • To ensure issues with stock transactions, FLT’s and racking are reported promptly
  • To ensure all materials are moved and stored safely in accordance with safe weight limits
  • To ensure FLT battery water levels are correctly maintained.
  • To ensure Packaging waste is correctly segregated.
  • To ensure the Dept Manager is informed of any issues which could impact Safety, Quality or Cost.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
  • Maintain a clear working area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and policies
  • Support and motivate other colleagues
  • Adhere to all other reasonable requests

 

 

What You Bring To The Role:

 

 

  • Knowledge of Warehouse Stock Systems with the ability to navigate around them independently
  • Current FLT licence for Counter Balance and/or Reach from a recognised training body
  • Reliability, punctuality and consistency are essential to enable you to work effectively as a team member
  • An ability to learn, share knowledge and develop
  • A willingness to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Good verbal, written and numerical skills
