Ornua is actively seeking a Financial Controller to join our Finance department as we continue our growth trajectory. The Financial Controller will play a key role in ensuring that the financial performance of the business is fully understood and communicated to all functions. They will be responsible for all budgeting and forecasting processes; business partnering of the Commercial and Brands teams and will play a key role in the Integrated Business Process.

Why This Role Is Valuable:

As our Financial Controller you will;

 

  • Lead the Commercial Finance team, ensuring the team delivers value to the business, ensuring personal development of all team members.
  • Develop strong relationship will all Foods UK SLT members and their direct reports. 
  • Be an industry leading business partner to the Sales Directors and Brands Director, ensuring they receive clear and actionable insight and offering strategic support on all key projects.
  • Identify key risks and opportunities to deliver performance improvement
  • Play a key role in the setting of Brands pricing and profitability growth
  • Be an expert on all customer pricing models and ensure the Commercial Finance Team are continuously looking to improve the openbook way of working.
  • Play a key Finance role, alongside the Finance Business Partner – Cheese Procurement, to partner the Cheese Procurement Controller.
  • Ensure all necessary reporting is in place to deliver in depth insight to support the management of bulk stock and identify timing risk to stock over multiple years.
  • Lead and challenge to ensure the IBP process is being correctly followed to deliver a world class MBR monthly pack
  • Lead the quarterly forecast and annual budget process to ensure all elements are delivered on time.
  • Deliver insightful analysis of forecasts and budget to ensure the business understands the drivers of performance.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and clearly communicate these to support the delivery of business targets.

 

 

 

What You Bring To The Role:

 

  • Qualified Accountant with an analytical mindset
  • Strong people leader with previous experience managing a team
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • In depth knowledge of Commercial Finance and experience of an openbook way of working
