Salary:                            Up to £43,000 depending on experience

Hours:                           36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Ornua is actively seeking a Commercial Accountant to join our Commercial Finance department as we continue our growth trajectory.

As our Commercial Accountant you will play a key role in supporting with the management of existing customer agreements and new projects; whilst also providing key insight on the business performance of those agreements.

This role will give the opportunity to further develop core accounting experience with a key Commercial focus.

Why This Role Is Valuable:

As our Commercial accountant you will be responsible for leading on;

 

  • Creation and communication of customer profitability reporting, including key commentary detailing performance vs budget & forecast, sharing insight with both the Finance & Commercial teams.
  • Management of varying financial models as part of existing customer agreements, to ensure accurate pricing and forecasts.
  • Financial validation of product costings and supporting with new business opportunities.
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual/quarterly forecasts.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Development and implementation of key business reporting.
  • Providing effective financial support for key overhead cost centre owners.
  • Ownership of the weekly margin reporting process, including month end reconciliation through to balance sheet management.

 

What You Bring To The Role:

 

  • Part Qualified CIMA/ ACCA or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills, confident working with non-finance colleagues
  • Analytical mind set, able to draw insight from data analysis and apply meaning with business context.
  • Strong Excel ability - able to manipulate & analyse large & complex data sets.
  • Understanding of month end processes, P&L & balance sheet is essential.
  • ERP system experience, ideally M3
