Reports to:                      Finance Manager – Commercial

Location:                         Ornua Foods UK, Leek

Hours:                             36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary:                             £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

Are you a Commercial Accountant looking for the challenge of taking a mission driven organisation to its next level of success?

Ornua is actively seeking a Commercial Accountant to join our Finance department as we continue our growth trajectory.

 

As our next Commercial Accountant, you will play a key role in; supporting the management of existing customer agreements and new projects; whilst also providing key insight on the business performance of those agreements. You will have the opportunity to further develop core accounting experience with a key Commercial focus. Study options available for this role.

Why This Role Is Valuable:

In this role, you will;

 

  • Have ownership of the weekly margin reporting process, including month end reconciliation through to balance sheet management
  • Create and communicate the customer profitability reporting, including key commentary detailing performance vs budget & forecast, sharing insight with both the Finance & Commercial teams.
  • Manage varying financial models as part of existing customer agreements, to ensure accurate pricing and forecasts.
  • Have financial validation of product costings and supporting with new business opportunities.
  • Provide effective financial support for key overhead cost centre owners.
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual/quarterly forecasts.

 

What You Bring To The Role:

 

  • Part Qualified CIMA/ ACCA or equivalent experience (Study options available for this role)
  • Excellent communication skills, confident working with non-finance colleagues
  • Strong Excel ability - able to manipulate & analyse large & complex data sets.
  • Understanding of month end processes, P&L & balance sheet is essential.
  • Time spent in Commercial Finance role or experience supporting a sales function is ideal.
  • ERP system experience
