Job Title:                    Warehouse Operative

Reports to:                Warehouse Manager

Location:                    Hazel Park, Dymock Road, Ledbury, Herefordshire, HR8 2JQ

Hours:                        Monday – Friday, Rotating Shifts, 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm (40 hours)

Salary                         Up to £12:10 p/h

The Role:

 

Responsible for operating lift trucks in all areas of the Ledbury site, associated to the control, movement and accounting of raw materials, finished goods.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

 

  • To work in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety policy and in manner that ensures that operators do not put themselves or others in a position of danger
  • To cooperate with the Company on matters relating to H & S
  • To notify the Company on any short comings or failings within its H & S procedures
  • To report all accidents in the work place
  • To work in accordance with work instructions in order to achieve the smooth transition of raw material, packaging, finished goods throughout the site.
  • Carry out all warehousing related tasks in a manner that produces consistently high quality outputs.
  • Operate warehousing stock transaction on M3 in accordance with current procedures and instructions.
  • To ensure that all company policies and procedures relating to product quality, food safety, health and safety and legality, are adhered to at all times.
  • Report and issues that compromise or could compromise food safety.
  • Wear appropriate safety protection at all times and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policy and procedures.
  • Maintain one's own work area to established housekeeping standards.
  • Perform to meet departmental goals and quality targets.
  • Provide quality products and services that meet customer requirements.
  • Assist in simplification and/or improvements of inventory and stock checking
  • Undertake training as required.
  • To ensure the Clean As You Go policy is carried out in their immediate working area.
  • Assist as required in perpetual stock taking activities including end of year procedures.
