Job Title:                    Local Master Data Steward

Reports to:                Master Data Lead OIEUK

Location:                  Ledbury or Nantwich

Hours:                         37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Salary:                         £25,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)

Key Areas of Responsibility


  • Management of Local Item Master Data within M3 ERP system of both Ledbury and Nantwich OIEUK sites.
  • Assisting with Global Data creation tasks as needed via Data identification software portal (“Sphera”).
  • Managing BoM changes through effective communication to the relevant stakeholders using workflow software (Item approval portal).
  • Supporting & Resolving day-to-day Local Master Data queries of both sites on technical and system related issues.
  • Review and update training documentation & process notes for all Local Master Data processes, to enable cover of key tasks if required and provision of future training.
  • Continuous improvement of Local Master data own processes and related systems, to ensure efficient and accurate ways of working .
  • Review of Master Data related business processes and workflows, ensuring they meet the needs of the business effectively & engaging with stakeholders to steer changes as needed.
  • Maintenance & governance of all business Global & Local Master Data including development of value-adding reporting, corrections as needed and communication to of changes where relevant (maintenance/housekeeping tasks).
  • Support budget process as needed with regards to underlying related master data.
  • Key point of contact for Global Master Data team as required, encouraging a collaborative team working atmosphere and promoting continuous improvement across both teams.
  • Main point of contact for Local Master Data with business stakeholders, as required for projects & business changes.
  • Co-ordination of cover for Local Master Data Administrator as required in event of absence, ensuring business continuity for all day-to-day Master Data requirements.  
  • Assist the OIEUK Master Data Lead with embedding and owning the Masterdata Global Design and new Evolve project ways of working.
  • Support all business workstream teams with relevant projects or other ad-hoc requirements from time to time as needed.

Key requirements  


  • Master Data knowledge & experience, preferably within the food industry.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good knowledge of an ERP system
  • Technically minded
  • Understanding of finance principles including costings & variances
  • Strong IT skills, specifically Excel
  • Analytical & process minded with ability to organize & manipulate data  
  • Ability to plan and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Good communicator and able to speak to people at all levels



  • Previous experience of M3 ERP system
  • Prior knowledge gained in Operations environment, ideally within FMCG or food industry
  • Degree level qualification – technical or numerate subject
  • Either familiarity with or willingness to develop skills in a data reporting tool such as ‘Power BI’.
