Location:                    Ledbury, Ornua Ingredients Europe, Hazel Park, HR8 2JQ

Hours:                        Monday- Friday; 40 hours, 2pm-10pm (Fixed Shift)

Salary:                       £14.35 per hour (Grade D)

Why This Role Is Valuable:

The Quality Technician is responsible for leading on;

 

  • Ensure laboratory supplies are stocked.
  • Test our finished products to meet the required specifications, as well as making any corrective actions following non-conformance
  • Support with internal audits, such as Glass Plastics factory audits and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Audits
  • Lead the scheduled Swabbing and Sampling practices, including quarterly shelf-life testing.
  • Approval and release products ready for dispatch
  • To provide cover for colleagues during absence or breaks
  • Support with creating and setting up labels for production.
  • Preparation of samples for micro/chemistry testing. Sending this to external lab and monitoring the results together with recording any out of spec results and drive corrective action on them & notifying about them.
  • Creating certificates for customers
  • Dealing efficiently with internal and external customer enquiries
  • Support team with continuous improvement initiatives to deliver our best quality product.
  • Set up and record daily product reviews.
  • Measuring finished product cooling temperature with data logger on weekly basis.
  • Managing the separation and on hold of non-conforming product
  • Monthly testing of water and settle plates.
  • Changing the Production knives

  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy with literacy and numeric skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
  • Strong Attention to detail
