Janitor

Job Summary: Qualified applicants must be able to perform all tasks noted below in a busy environment with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, strong time management skills, and the ability to perform work effectively and efficiently, consistently identifying areas of need and opportunities to improve overall facility cleanliness and appearance.  From time to time, you may be required to work other shifts or be temporarily moved to other departments in the plant. Must also be prepared for any related duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Ornua Management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain overall cleanliness within the facility and around the facility, with strong attention to detail
• Seek out opportunities to improve overall plant appearance, including organizing, decluttering, sanitizing, cleaning, and more
• Clean all bathrooms
• Stock all supplies, including but not limited to, production supplies, paper towel, soap, etc.
• Assign lockers to new employees and clean out lockers as needed
• Manage uniform orders
• Report and order when low on supplies
• Empty all waste baskets and take trash to dumpster
• Wipe the handles on all the doors throughout the plant
• Regularly disinfect high traffic surface areas
• Sweep and mop the lunchrooms, locker rooms, hallways, conference rooms, and office areas
• Clean and wipe off tables, counters, refrigerator and microwave in lunchroom
• Clean the stools and sinks and disinfect the showers.
• Pickup around the dumpster area outside.
• Clean Dry Storage.
• Make sure the Mezzanine is swept and mopped regularly
• Consistently dust all office areas. Remove cobwebs, dirt, and other debris.
• Scrub sinks, clean dishes, and clean all kitchen areas in breakroom and conference room
• All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds consistently
• Standing for extended periods of time, often entirety of shifts
• Bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting
