Job Summary: 

 

A great opportunity to lead the Talent agenda for both the Ingredients and Foods businesses in North America in a way that delivers a differentiated employee experience.  The role involves working closely with HR partners and leaders in our US businesses to support on talent development, employee engagement, talent and succession planning, performance management, team and leadership development, and training delivery for manufacturing and professional colleagues.

 

This role supports all of the Ornua businesses in the US and regular travel to all locations will be required:

  • Hilbert, Wisconsin 
  • Hillsboro, Wisconsin  
  • Whitehall East, Wisconsin 
  • Whitehall West, Wisconsin 
  • Byron, Minnesota 
  • Evanston, Illinois

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Work in partnership with HR partners for Ingredients North America and Foods North America to deliver on talent development requirements for their business areas, to drive continued business growth.
  • Design and deliver appropriate people leadership and team development interventions, including the ‘Ornua People Leadership’ suite and ‘Managing Matters’ programs.
  • Design and deliver professional skills training programs and source external expertise and vendors as needed.
  • Work in partnership with leaders and supervisors in our Ingredients businesses to ensure effective design and delivery of an Operations Training program.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to drive employee engagement initiatives which support key areas of focus from the Your Voice survey.
  • Play a key role in the Talent and Succession planning process to ensure follow-through delivery of supporting development interventions.
  • Support, develop and coach local people managers in relation to their approach and consideration of people issues and development needs.
  • Serve as a consultative subject matter expert to business leaders in the area of team development, cultural initiatives, and program development.
  • As a member of the Group Talent Leadership team, leverage the organisation-wide tools and initiatives for the benefit of our US businesses.

 

 

Key requirements

  • At least 8+ years’ experience in a talent development role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational leadership, education, communication or related field required.
  • Certification or working knowledge of Insights, DiSC or similar personality assessment methodologies is desirable.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/FMCG environment would be an advantage.
  • Expertise in some or all of the following strategic HR/Talent Development activities: learning and development, facilitation and training delivery, performance management, employee engagement, leadership and team development, leadership coaching and talent and succession planning.
  • Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to quickly interpret key stakeholders needs and convert them into achievable and timely solutions.
  • Willingness to travel to all Ornua sites in the US on a regular basis and occasional travel to Ireland also required.
