Job Title: Supplier Quality Intern                              

Department: Quality

Reports to: Supplier Quality and Audits Manager

Location(s): Hilbert onsite

Schedule: 7:30am-4:00pm with 30 minute lunch

Job Summary:

Responsible for being an active member of the Supplier Quality Team by collaborating with the FSQA and Sourcing Teams to strengthen the sustainability of our Supplier Approval Program.          

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop SOP for reviewing and storing COAs.
2. Develop a system to pull data from COAs or from internal testing systems, for use in specific cheese formulas.
3. Collect required documentation from current and potential suppliers for initial approval or continuation of approval.
4. Work to continuously improve the current Supplier Approval Program.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with Microsoft ™ office tools
• Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, and written skills
• Experience in lab methods, sampling methodology and statistics a plus.
• Write reports, prepare presentations and other correspondence
• High attention to detail, maintain excellent attendance 

• Strong oral, listening, written and electronic communication skills in order to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, averages, density, area, circumference, and volume with accuracy and ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Education and Experience:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Statistics
• Experience with FDA, USDA and Dairy is a plus
• Knowledge of FSMA, CFR, and regulatory requirements is a plus
