Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sample Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for obtaining, evaluating, preparing, packaging, and shipping cheese product samples to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service and quality.

       

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily sample requests from Sales, R&D, and Customer Service teams.
  • Accurately portion, convert, label, and package cheese samples according to customer specifications and internal protocols.
  • Prepare shipment labels (national and international)
  • Maintain detailed records of sample inventory, shipments, and potential customer feedback.
  • Follow GMP procedures to ensure all samples meet quality and food safety standards prior to dispatch.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse, Operations, R&D and QA teams to source appropriate product for sampling.
  • Manage shipping logistics, including courier scheduling, tracking, and documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sample preparation area.
  • Monitor inventory of packaging materials and request replenishment as needed.
  • Support product launches, trade shows, and customer presentations with timely sample delivery.
  • Must also carry out duties assigned by their Manager, including but not limited to supporting pilot plant operations and logistics, sensory analysis, application testing, laboratory analysis etc as needed.
  • Attend all required company training.

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with food safety and handling practices (HACCP, GMP).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic inventory systems.
  • Be willing and able to taste dairy and non-dairy food grade products.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Stand almost continuously
  • Vision including the ability to read, distance vision and peripheral
  • Walk frequently
  • Climb ramps or stairs
  • Push/pull materials on lab carts

 Environmental Conditions

  • General manufacturing environment.
  • Works in both hot and cold temperatures depending on the manufacturing process.
