HR Operations Manager, North America (HR, Payroll & Benefits)

The primary responsibility of the HR Operations Manager is to lead the Ornua North American HR Operations team, responsible for HR, Payroll, and Benefits administration, serving as the first point of contact for all North American HR-related questions.
With a primary focus on customer service delivery, the HR Operations Manager requires a strong People Leader who is responsible for managing the team along with the HR systems and integrations with partner applications.
This role will play an integral role in project delivery and process improvements, such as implementing and supporting employee self-service optimization.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage, lead, and develop the HR Shared Services team to ensure a positive and efficient customer service experience through effective delivery and execution of HR services, Payroll, and Benefits.
- Leadership of the processes and systems that enable all phases of the employee lifecycle, including applicant tracking, payroll, benefits, colleague support, reporting, and system integrations/upgrades.
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders and vendors to ensure smooth implementation of programs and administration of employee and manager self-service.
- Collaborate with all North America HRBPs and other members of the team to enable smooth and accurate communications to help employees and managers take advantage of resources, systems, and processes.
- Manage workflow priorities, including triaging and escalation.
- Monitor key performance indicators of the HR Operations team ensuring a high level of customer service delivery.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts and projects to optimize and improve processes.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR Operations team.
- Provide support and guidance to team members who are responsible for payroll and benefit administration.
- Collaborate with the Global People Services Team and with international travel required approximately 2-3 times per year.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in management of an HR Operations Team.
- Currently running multiple payrolls.
- Thorough understanding of direct-labor/hourly paid employees.
- An excellent understanding of US benefits.
- Confident managing Exec level Stakeholders.
- Experience in process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize work and manage deadlines.
- Ability to multitask simultaneously and successfully.
- Proficient attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Strong follow-through skills and ability to resolve issues promptly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Ability to travel regularly within WI, IL and MN, plus, international travel (2-3 times per year).
