Why This Role Matters

The Accounts Payable Analysts key role is invoice management and production of transactional data as required to enable timely management of supplier invoices and employee reimbursements. This role also serves as a liaison for all procurement-related inquiries and has daily communication with internal and external departmental key stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform as a key member of the Accounts Payable Team, including backing up the Accounts Payable Manager, as an opportunity to develop Sr Accounts Payable Analyst capabilities [Sr Accounts Payable Analyst manages full Accounting responsibilities and import activity for the Ornua Dairy Ingredients North America (ODINA) representing additional $60M annually
  • Prepare voucher packets for each A/P invoice received, ensuring that the quantity, price, quality, timing, and proper approval have been supported
  • Enter invoices into A/P module of accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics) for proper accounting period
  • Manage invoice flow in payment management software tools (Docuware)
  • Analyze monthly expenses to be sure all recurring expenses have been accounted for
  • Ensures timely payment of invoices, inclusive of invoice packets, for signature
  • Manage vendors who require payments via ACH
  • Track & record intercompany activity with high degree of accuracy and pace
  • Analyze company accounts for accuracy and investigate discrepancies
  • Supplier reconciliations and Aged AR reporting monthly
  • Accurately enter data into the Microsoft Dynamics SL and Docuware which are utilized to ensure proper tracking of daily transactions
  • Act as the point of contact for all supplier questions pertaining to Accounts Payable information.
  • Interact with various departments to obtain approvals and problem solve as any issues may arise.
  • Lead key initiatives to improve Accounts Payable processes and use of systems and tools to continuously improve payment management securely, efficiently and effectively as market technologies evolve
  • Completes special projects as requested and/or required by the business
  • Provides occasional back-up receptionist coverage at the front desk

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree or higher in accounting or related field highly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred (Microsoft Dynamics SL highly desired)
  • 2+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
