Why This Role is Valuable

Working as part of the US-based marketing team, this role is key in developing and deploying much of how key products in the Kerrygold brand show up across digital and social properties. From providing market-appropriate nuance to global cascades making them fit-for-purpose and locally relevant, to co-developing and deploying content pillars and channel strategy, to activating a tone of voice through copywriting, and giving recommendations on targeting and content placement, this channel expert leads on constantly innovating their brands’ role through a social and digital-first lens. You will connect wider food trends, popular culture, audience behaviours with Kerrygold products, linking your work across evergreen, campaign and ad hoc workstreams in an agile and flexible way.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

 

  • Planning, developing and deploying social media content and campaigns
  • Bringing the overarching brand strategy and creative ambition to life in a social-first and platform-specific way through content
  • Working with in-house, agency and creators to provide a dynamic social programme
  • Posting and moderating content across social media accounts
  • Engaging with social audiences and finding opportunities for brand engagement and earned reach while also mitigating any potential risk
  • Support, amplify and extend the role of social alongside broader marketing and PR activity
  • Utilise data, social listening and gathered insight to constantly evaluate and optimise output, best practices and ways of working
  • Assist in the setting, reporting and accountability to channel KPIs and ensuring they ladder back to broader business objectives
  • Being on top of the latest social media trends and understanding how they can be applied in real-time to our brand

 

Key Requirements:

 

  • Experience working in a CPG/FMCG environment managing content channels with scale
  • An ability to interpret and bring and opinion to brand strategy
  • An understanding of publishing cycles and a working awareness of all major content channels
  • Relevant experience working with brands as a social-first channel expert and thought leader
  • 3+ years experience in social media management and content development
  • Ability to convey channel success and opportunities to senior stakeholders in a clear, jargon-free and compelling manner
  • A highly developed view of contemporary culture and understanding of the leading content platforms and channels
