Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua consumer brands including our flagship brand Kerrygold, the natural dairy brand loved globally leveraging our Irish world class sustainable farming practices. The brand portfolio also includes Pilgrims Choice, the no.2 brand in the UK and our powder brands Kerrygold Avantage, Forto, and BEO. Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, and the US.

 

Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world. Ornua Ingredients is also responsible for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies. The business is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.

 

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented EDI Analyst to join our team.  In this role, you will be instrumental in managing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes, ensuring seamless data flow between our organization and trading partners.  You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize EDI integrations, troubleshoot issues, and enhance overall operational efficiency.  Primary focus is support of the Ornua Foods North America team but will support Global initiatives, as required. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support EDI interfaces with ERP (M3) and External Trading Partners
  • Ensure adequate prioritization of new EDI trading partner requests including initial discussions, requirements definition, design, development, certification, and support
  • Perform production support by monitoring day-to-day EDI operations and troubleshooting issues
  • Identify and resolve EDI issues at root cause level
  • Develop EDI maps and business processes and resolve implementation issues
  • Perform EDI project work, collaborating directly with our trading partners’ business and technical contacts

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience as an EDI analyst.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in reading, interpreting, creating, and modifying ANSI X12 EDI documents (e.g., 850/875, 810/880, 855, 856, 997, 824, 864, etc.), with a strong ability to translate technical EDI specifications from trading partners into functional, actionable implementations.
  • Proficiency in managing EDI within ERP systems (e.g., Infor M3, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), with the ability to map and troubleshoot EDI integrations across order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes.
  • Proficient in programming languages (Java, C++, SQL) and experienced with structured data formats (XML, CSV).
  • Strong familiarity with third-party EDI providers, VANs, and direct AS2 connections, including hands-on experience managing trading partners, envelope configuration, and partner certificate exchanges within B2B integration platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Boomi, MuleSoft Anypoint, SEEBURGER BIS).

Total Rewards at Ornua Foods North America will include a competitive salary and annual bonus scheme.
