Job Summary:

 

The Treasury Analyst will play a central role within Group Treasury, the core function of which is to manage all aspects of the Group’s cash, banking and foreign exchange needs, in close association with subsidiary finance staff.  Proven Treasury experience in a corporate or banking environment is a prerequisite for the role. Excellent operational, technical, analytical and reporting skills are essential.  This role offers significant potential for future development within Treasury over time.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Cash Management

  • Responsibility for completion of daily bank statement imports / uploads to TMS / exports to ERP;
  • Management of automated bank reconciliations and timely resolution of any issues identified;
  • Monitoring and management of Group’s cash position and funding requirements;
  • Processing Treasury payments (including timely resolution of any issues identified);
  • Reporting of daily cash balances across the group (familiarity with multi-currency cash pooling and cash concentration is key);
  • Short-term cash-flow forecasting (including identification of borrowing requirements);
  • Arranging bank syndicate and bilateral loan drawdowns and repayments;
  • Management of factoring payments via subsidiaries;
  • Debtors receipt allocations.

 

Foreign Exchange

  • Management of regular group FX settlements (via netting);
  • Completion and management of subsidiary FX hedging.

 

Other

  • Playing a key role in the on-going management and development of the Group’s Cash and Treasury Management Systems;
  • Providing Treasury support for new acquisitions / business lines / geographies;
  • Providing Treasury expertise and guidance to the wider group;
  • Ensuring compliance with Treasury Policy is maintained at all times;
  • ERP Static Data - verification of new supplier bank details and creation of new customer profiles.

 

 

Key Requirements:

 

  • Qualified / Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Treasury qualification (IACT / ACT) would be an advantage;
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in either a corporate treasury or banking environment;
  • Experience in operating a recognised TMS (ideally IT2) would be a distinct advantage;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills essential;
  • Experience with Movex ERP or similar package is desirable;
  • Hard working team player, flexible and able to act under pressure (to deadlines);
  • Ability to act on own initiative and take responsibility;
  • Adept at dealing with high volumes of data and comfortable in a highly automated environment;
  • Good communicator who takes a proactive approach to solving problems;
  • Clear & precise presentational skills, excellent attention to detail;
  • Well organised and thorough, with desire for continuous improvement.
