It operates from 10 business units worldwide, including 12 production facilities, and has sales and marketing teams working in-market across all strategically important markets.


The Group is comprised of two divisions: Ornua Foods  and Ornua Ingredients.


 Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands, including Kerrygold, Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Kerrygold Avantage, Forto and BEO. Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and the US. 

Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers. Ornua Ingredients is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US, and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.


The Technical Support Coordinator will work with the Technical Team Leader in the coordination of administration and support activities within the Technical Team. This includes ensuring results entry by suppliers, monitoring and reporting on non-conformances, reviewing and regularly revising Ornua specifications in conjunction with stakeholders in the Ornua business. 


The Technical Support Coordinator will develop their knowledge of all aspects of Ornua systems, such as stock management and results entry within the Ornua ERP system (Movex).  The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining specifications in Movex and QUBE (Ornua Quality Management System) as per Ornua and customer specification requirements.

The role is predominantly office based, however certain aspects of both supplier and customer interactions may involve some travel within Ireland and occasionally overseas. 


This is a 12 month fixed term contract. 




1.    To work closely with all manufacturers to ensure that all quality analytical data is provided electronically to Ornua within the agreed 2-week timeframe. This includes holding accountable those Suppliers that do not meet minimum standards and close monitoring of Ornua stocks in conjunction with Technical Inspectors to ensure maximum quantity of stock is saleable always.  
2.    To coordinate the communication of (within the team / to external stakeholders) and report on status of, customer complaints when they arise.
3.    To coordinate and lead monthly calls with manufactures/packers to discuss and challenge current KPI’s on stock, specifications, audits and customer complaints.  

4.    To create and execute Manual Certificates of Analysis in conjunction with Technical Inspectors and as required by the business.

5.    To facilitate and fulfil sample requests as per process as requested by the business.

6.    To participate in management of the Quality Management System within Ornua, whilst driving a strong quality improvement culture and customer focus. 
7.    To complete Supplier Technical Questionnaires and Specifications within agreed timelines and to maintain clear and timely communication with the customer consistently.

8.    To co-ordinate response to customer queries for the Technical Team and ensure all are responded to in a timely manner.

9.    To review current processes and inputs on Movex (ERP Stock System) as required, ensuring all processes are fit for purpose and all inputs on Movex are as per agreed specifications.

10.    To review & participate in stock management activities.

11.    To participate in projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required. 

12.    To work closely with the Technical Team to ensure that appropriate service levels are provided to the Ingredients and Consumer Foods Divisions. 

13.    To always represent Ornua to the highest level in all interactions with our member suppliers, suppliers, and customers. 
14.    To perform any other appropriate duties from time to time.


•    A third level qualification in a technical food / food science discipline. 
•    At least 2 years’ relevant experience within the dairy / food industry is desirable.
•    Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills.
•    Flexible and committed attitude with the ability to display initiative.
•    The ability to work well as part of a team and drive continuous improvement. 
•    Strong Word, Excel, and database skills.
•    Willingness to travel in Ireland and abroad as required.
