This represents an excellent opportunity for a suitable candidate to work with a broad range of technologies in a 24 x 7 environment. You will work closely with the ICT Security Manager (direct report) and with Senior Infrastructure Manager to develop and implement network management. The Senior Network and Security Administrator is responsible for the design, delivery and maintenance of the Ornua network.


Key Responsibilties: 


  • Implements Networking standards across the group
  • Implements best practice and standard service levels across the discipline
  • Manage, maintain day to day network and security operations globally and designing new network, wireless and security solutions.
  • Manage 3rd party WAN vendors
  • Implements remote access solutions, controls and specification
  • Support ongoing and new security/compliance initiatives.
  • Deploy and manage system security, core network connectivity, wireless solution, firewall, security, remote access, and authentication systems.
  • Designs standard ICT network configuration.
  • Participate in compliance/vulnerability assessment scanning and develop mitigation and remediation plans from the assessment findings.
  • Drive service ownership for the Network Cloud; assist in efforts to streamline problem and change management processes, improve alerting and incident handling, and increase automation.
  • Being the SME, discover and investigate critical security vulnerabilities across on-prem, cloud and external presence
  • Liaise with Ornua Legal to fulfil ICT responsibility of managing and protecting personal data to comply with GDPR
  • Security Incident Management - 2nd line response to Security Incidents. Support forensic response and problem management as required. Manage and undertake security assessments and approve changes, products and services from an IT Security perspective
  • Manage User Access Management services including Privileged Access Management, Identity Access Management, SSO, Segregations of duties, roles and access to highly sensitive personal data and Ornua Intellectual Property
  • Conduct regular Vulnerability assessments, risk analysis and penetration testing and advise Infrastructure team to take remedial actions
  • Monitor and Implement Security Solutions including managing Ornua footprints on Microsoft Azure Cloud

​​​​​​​Experience Required:

  • 5-7 years professional experience managing enterprise network and security environments
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field required.
  • Master’s Degree in related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience working within a global company, working across major geographic regions is preferred
  • Understanding of manufacturing industry and operating environments is preferable
  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems, excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and exceptional service orientation.
  • Self-starter who can lead major initiatives and mentor less experienced teammates
  • Good knowledge of Cisco LAN equipment, wireless protocol, experienced in wireless surveys and generating heatmaps
  • Experience with network sniffing, bandwidth monitoring, advanced network troubleshooting and security tools
  • In depth knowledge of Network Security Architecture
  • CCNA Route/Switch minimum
  • Excellent working knowledge of Firewalls (IPSec-VPN & remote VPN).
  • Good understanding of security operations and technologies.
  • Knowledge managing IDS/IPS systems
  • Experience with administering, troubleshooting and configuring / implementation of Cisco switches and Aruba WIFI
  • Understanding of Palo Alto firewall to manage 3rd party vendor
  • A good understanding of Network Security controls such as IPS, DLP, WAF, and load balancing
  • You will hold certification in one or some of, the following or equivalent:
    1. CISSP or equivalent certification is preferred but not essential
    2. Infrastructure technology certifications including but not limited to Azure Platform, Office 365, Cisco, Firewall, WiFi, VMWare etc.
