WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE:
The Risk & Assurance Project Manager (18 month FTC) will be responsible for coordinating and driving the delivery of Risk, Assurance and Compliance projects across Ornua. The role will work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure projects are well planned, effectively governed and delivered on time, within scope and in line with business priorities. This role will provide structure, visibility and delivery discipline across key initiatives, supporting effective risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement, continuous improvement and strong project outcomes for the Risk and Assurance function.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Project Management and Governance:
- Manage the delivery of Risk, Assurance, Compliance and other business projects, ensuring clear plans, timelines, milestones and delivery trackers are in place and aligned to agreed priorities.
- Maintain appropriate project governance and reporting, tracking progress against deliverables and escalating risks, issues, dependencies or delays where required.
- Leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with internal departments, external advisors and stakeholders to ensure projects objectives are met.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Engage and coordinate stakeholders across Risk and Assurance, business leads, IT, Finance and other functions to ensure project objectives, roles and responsibilities are clearly understood.
- Preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations for key stakeholders and senior leadership to communicate project status and compliance metrics.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops and updates to support planning, decision-making, change readiness and alignment across project teams.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen delivery processes and improve the effectiveness of project and enhancement delivery across the function.
- Driving automation, innovation where appropriate.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify, manage and maintain visibility of project risks, issues, actions and dependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigation plans and timely resolution of project challenges.
- Support other relevant projects, initiatives and ad-hoc activities as required by the Risk and Assurance function.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years’ experience in project management or project delivery, preferably within Risk, Compliance, or a related business function.
- Degree in business, project management or a related discipline.
- Relevant project management qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Proven ability to create clear project plans, timelines, status updates, governance materials, resource plans and project documentation.
- Strong understanding of project governance, delivery tracking, stakeholder reporting, action management and risk/issue management.
- Strong systems capability, including advanced Excel skills and experience using project management or reporting tools; experience managing project budgets is desirable.
- Excellent organisation, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, engage stakeholders, summarise complex information and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
