Power Platform Developer

Ornua is a leading dairy co-operative which sells premium dairy products globally on behalf of its Member Co-operatives, Ireland’s dairy processors and, in turn, Irish dairy farmers. 

Ornua has revenues of €3.4 billion and is supported by a global team of approximately 2,800 employees. The Group operates as a commercial organisation across 10 business units, including 12 production facilities located in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa. 

The commercial organisation is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Ireland’s most successful food export: Kerrygold. Consumer markets are served by production facilities in Ireland, Germany and the UK and by in-market Sales & Marketing Teams in Asia, Germany, Ireland, MEA, Poland, Spain, rest of Europe and North and Latin America. 

It also manages the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products, the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers globally, and the implementation of de-risking and trading strategies to manage market volatility. These activities are supported by production facilities and in-market teams in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa. 

WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE: 

As part of the Digital & Applications team, the Power Apps Developer will play a critical role in modernising business processes, enhancing user experiences, and driving operational efficiency. By leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform, this role will help deliver scalable, low-code solutions that empower teams, reduce manual work, and accelerate innovation across the organisation. 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Design, develop, and deploy custom business applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, Power Pages.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
• Delivering a variety of projects using the core range of solutions within the Power Platform.
• Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform solutions to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction. 
• Implement governance, security, and compliance best practices within the Power Platform & Copilot Studio ecosystem. 
• Provide technical support, documentation, and training to end-users and internal teams. 
• Stay up to date with new features and capabilities within the Power Platform and recommend improvements. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS: 

• 3 years of experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages.
• Proven experience developing solutions on Power Platform, and Power Automate
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem and integration capabilities. 
• Excellent understanding of UI and UX. 
• Proficiency in low-code/no-code development and familiarity with traditional development (JavaScript, PowerShell, etc.) is a plus. 
• Experience with data modelling, relational databases, and API integrations. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and communication skills.
