Job Summary:
Ornua’s ICT department in Dublin provides a centralised ICT service to Ornua group of companies in Europe, UK, Africa, Middle East, China and America. The Global ICT Infrastructure team are responsible for ensuring the highest level of performance and availability in a 24 x 7 datacentre, communications LAN / WAN, monitoring, hardware and software upgrades, data and network security.
This represents an excellent opportunity for a suitable candidate to work with a broad range of technologies in a Global 24 x 7 environment. You will work closely with the Senior Network Engineer to support our networks and global connectivity.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain Networking standards across all Ornua Offices and Factories.
- Manage core network connectivity, wireless solution, firewall, security, remote access, authentication systems and regular access reviews.
- Support the day-to-day network and security operations and assist with the design of new networks, wireless and security solutions.
- Manage local 3rd party WAN, LAN and Firewall vendors, Service, Incident and Change reviews for the UK region.
- Daily monitoring and incident support for MPLS, P2P, SDWAN and VPNs
- Work with IT Security team with ongoing and new security/compliance initiatives.
- Participate in compliance/vulnerability assessment scanning and develop mitigation and remediation plans from the assessment findings.
- Security Incident Management - 2nd line response to Network Security Incidents. Support forensic response and problem management as required.
- Work closely with the Service Delivery Manager to ensure SLA and KPIs are maintained
Experience and Skills
- 3-5 years professional experience supporting enterprise WAN, LAN and Firewall environments
- Understanding of manufacturing industry and operating environments is advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field required.
- Working knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls, IPSec-VPN & remote VPN, IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with administering, troubleshooting and configuring / implementation of Cisco switches, Palo Alto Firewalls and Aruba WIFI.
- CCNP or equivalent Certification desirable
- Prior experience working within a global company, working across major geographic regions is preferred
- Working knowledge of Cisco LAN equipment, wireless protocol, experienced in wireless surveys and remedial steps.
- Microsoft Azure – Production Experience, certificate with Microsoft Azure Network architecture advantageous.
- Experience with network sniffing, bandwidth monitoring, advanced network troubleshooting and security tools
- Demonstrated ability in solving business IT problems, excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and exceptional service orientation.
