It operates from 10 business units worldwide, including 12 production facilities, and has sales and marketing teams working in-market across all strategically important markets.

 

The Group is comprised of two divisions: Ornua Foods  and Ornua Ingredients.

 

Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands, including Kerrygold, Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Kerrygold Avantage, Forto and BEO. Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and the US.

 

Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers. Ornua Ingredients is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US, and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.

 

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover). 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Work with Marketing & Events Manager to co-ordinate programme of events to include trade shows, live streaming, conferences, launches and corporate engagement activities.
  • Liaise with hosts, vendors, exhibitors on content and logistics from project planning to execution.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders including Executive, in-market teams, industry, members, and farmer engagement.
  • Support creation of event briefs, agenda, running order, content creation, communications, logistics, registration, and reporting.
  • Prepare speakers for all events – including technical and content reviews to deliver high production standards.
  • Support the Marketing & Events Manager in brand design work to include advertising, annual report, presentations, brochures etc.
  • Support on the development of internal communications including intranet, newsletters, content creation, staff initiatives and events.
  • Manage relationships with media agencies, PR and creative partners and other third-party suppliers
  • Travel as required, overseeing on-site set-up and inspections
  • Develop and maintain Communications budget and invoicing.
  • Administrative support for team including subscriptions, coordinating meetings, travel and associated bookings

 

Key Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the Irish dairy industry and passionate about Irish food
  • Stakeholder management – working in a highly collaborative environment this role will require a strong ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience in branding, marketing
  • An excellent understanding of how to communicate with different audiences and strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence and build relationships and to explain complex issues
  • Proven record of devising internal and external communication plans
  • A proactive and energetic self-starter with an ability to work under own initiative to progress projects with minimal supervision
  • Goal-oriented, working with passion and motivation to deliver the key initiatives that benefit our internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent content creation, copy writing skills and attention to detail
  • Extensive event management experience
  • Excellent organisational and project planning/management skills
  • Experience in budgeting and basic financial reporting
  • Periods of travel throughout the year
  • Full driving license
