WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE 

 

As the End User Computing (EUC) Administrator, you will take ownership of all aspects of end-user device management (3,000+ users), including developing roadmaps, overseeing patch lifecycle management, monitoring device performance, and driving user adoption of operating system and Microsoft Office enhancements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that the organisation's workforce operates efficiently and securely in a technology-driven environment. 

 

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Service Delivery team to address endpoint issues proactively and with the Security team to maintain compliance with the latest security policies. Staying ahead of emerging technologies and continuously improving the user computing experience will be key to excelling in this position. 

  

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: 

  • Provide support for internal customers by troubleshooting and resolving issues related to end-user computers, mobile devices, and virtual desktop environments. 

  • Demonstrate technical expertise in key EUC areas, such as Windows OS build and deployment management, application delivery, and patch lifecycle management. 

  • Maintain a thorough understanding and extensive experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Group Policy, end-user devices, mobile device management (MDM), and related technologies. 

  • Manage the application lifecycle for Microsoft and third-party end-user device applications. 

  • Develop and execute annual roadmaps to enhance the end-user computing experience. 

  • Monitor device compliance and performance, generating regular reports to inform improvements. 

  • Implement user adoption programs for operating system and Office desktop enhancements. 

  • Collaborate with IT teams to develop and implement solutions that improve the overall user experience. 

  • Oversee identity, security, access, policy, updates, and applications for endpoints. 

  • Utilise tools such as Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure Virtual Desktop to manage endpoints efficiently across various operating systems, platforms, and device types. 

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting end-user computing environments. 

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is highly desirable but not mandatory. 

  • Experienced (3 years min) in a System Administrator or Support Analyst role with a focus on end-user computing. 

  • Technical Skills: 

  • Proven experience in managing Microsoft Intune

  • Strong expertise in Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO), Intune Polices and Windows operating systems. 

  • Hands-on experience in testing and deploying Windows OS, application updates, and security patches. 

  • Exposure to Azure Virtual Desktop is beneficial; practical experience is an added advantage. 

  • Certifications:  

  • Having a Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate certification is beneficial. 

  • Microsoft certifications in Azure and Microsoft 365 are also beneficial. 

  • ITIL Foundation certification is beneficial. 

  • Technical Aptitude: A commitment to continuous technical development and the ability to efficiently analyse and resolve technical issues. 

  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively. 

  • Methodology Knowledge: Familiarity with project and service delivery methodologies.
