The Group is structured across two divisions: Ornua Foods and Ornua Ingredients.


Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Kerrygold, Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Forto and BEO. Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and the US.


Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world. Ornua Ingredients is also responsible for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies. The business is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.


Job Summary


Working in the Project Delivery and Solution Architecture team, you will contribute to the design and implementation of successful projects by providing strong all-round technical knowledge within the Microsoft technology stack namely but not limited to Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS and the full Microsoft 365 suite including Microsoft EMS and security suite.


Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills to effectively automate on-premise and cloud services.
  • Support the management of Azure AD and the integration with SaaS applications for authentication.
  • Provide technical support to solution architects in translating business requirements into deliverable solutions.
  • Work with the Service Desk and Infrastructure teams to address problem tickets within the ITIL framework.  
  • Manage multiple tasks to deadline, communicate progress at regular intervals and participate in project planning meetings.
  • Develop a strong technical understanding of Azure and Microsoft 365. Utilise knowledge gathered to improve efficiencies.
  • Provide Documentation and Knowledge Transfers to Service Desk and Infrastructure Teams.
  • Identify new and emerging Technologies that would provide a benefit to both the Business and ICT Teams.


Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education in Computer Science or related areas.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a system administration or service desk role.
  • Experienced in automating tasks and managing Microsoft environments via PowerShell.
  • Strong Window 10, Windows Server and Active Directory skills.
  • Exposure to Azure and Microsoft 365 with hands-on experience an advantage.
  • Produce technical low level design documentation for the Infrastructure and Service Desk teams.
  • Proven commitment to continuous technical development within Microsoft’s technology stack.
  • Highly motivated, learn quickly on your own initiative within a challenging and dynamic team environment.
  • A proactive manner and the ability to work comfortably within a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience.
  • Understanding of project delivery and service delivery methodology – PRINCE 2 and ITIL.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Microsoft certification is an advantage.
