Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Kerrygold, Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Forto and BEO. Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and the US.

 

Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world. Ornua Ingredients is also responsible for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies. The business is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.

The Role:

 

Ornua requires a Procurement Process Lead to help build better, more efficient processes, along with the planning, integration, coordination & management/administration of our supplier management system. The role will work alongside procurement teams to manage the programme of work and implement programme governance and reporting process.

The person will manage/administer the Supplier Management System (Ornua Source) through supporting and building on the initial design. They will work closely with all users of the system across all sites, supporting them in supplier management, tendering projects, contract management and supplier performance.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

This role will be part of the Corporate Procurement Team and will require the flexibility to support the various other teams across the group.

  • Responsible for the development of Procurement KPIs and reporting metrics.
  • Responsible for developing, generating, and publishing agreed periodic reporting and adhoc reports.
  • Work with procurement teams to standardise the procurement initiatives process.
  • Support procurement team in preparation of category analysis, spend reports etc.
  • Maintenance of procurement collaboration sites (e.g. Sharepoint)
  • Coordinate the population and preparation of supplier scorecards for tier 1 vendors
  • Champion the use of Ornua Source SRM to support buying activities (e.g. using e-tenders for local sourcing events, tracking performance in the SRM, auto creation of contracts in SRM)
  • Lead communications to vendor base where necessary.
  • System Administration of the Ornua Source SRM including configuration, mass data uploads, supplier segmentation, KPI library, category tree, workflows, divisions, user roles, business units etc. Expand the initial design of system to other category groups.
  • Support the roll out of Ornua System to subsidiaries as required.
  • Support the Ornua Evolve programme.
     

KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:
 

  • Previous practical experience supporting procurement programmes/operations or P2P processes.
  • Proficient in administering e-procurement tools / SRM tools such as Jaggaer, Coupa, Zycus  Ariba, Jaggaer or similar.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytic skills. Ability to handle complexity and utilise analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle large data with an excellent degree of accuracy.
  • Customer Focused with a background in a fast-paced procurement environment.
  • Proficient stakeholder management across all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficient in managing multiple conflicting tasks.
  • Strong decision-making ability and team skills.
  • Ability to define action plans to resolve programme/project issues and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Ability to both actively listen and effectively communicate.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Administration, Supply Chain or equivalent.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role with SRM system administration experience
  • Knowledge of M3 ERP desirable.
  • Dairy Industry experience and FMCG industry knowledge are preferential but not essential.
