The Group is structured across two divisions: Ornua Foods and Ornua Ingredients.

 

Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Kerrygold, Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Forto and BEO. Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and the US.

 

Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world. Ornua Ingredients is also responsible for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies. The business is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.

The Role:

 

This is an all-encompassing master data role which will be heavily involved in all aspects of Ornua’s growing and exciting global master data journey. The candidate will be involved in varied tasks such as data architecture design, data analysis, business process analysis, data cleansing, change management and training, project work, data stewarding, data governance, data transformation and migration.

As part of a new group wide department with significant potential for growth, the role provides the candidate with exposure to all sites across the group and to work in multi-level and multi-disciplinary environment.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

 

  • Creation and editing of group wide master data in accordance with data standards and SLA.
  • Monitoring of master data to ensure existence of accurate, complete, consistent, and unique records only.
  • Analysis of legacy business processes and their data dependencies, including participating/leading Evolve data gap fit sessions.
  • Input to the design of group wide data standards, data model and taxonomy.
  • Lead data cleansing according to the data designs implemented at multiple Ornua sites across the group as part of project Evolve.
  • Provide appropriate training to stakeholders on data cleansing and on new master data processes.
  • Lead various master data related continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proactive discovery and removal or correction of errors within master data through cleansing activities.
  • Data analysis, data profiling, data modelling, and data mapping capabilities as required.
  • Develop a data culture within the organisation through various promotional activities and championing the importance of consistent high-quality data cross business functions.
  • Align with business and handle user queries on key business processes around master data creation and maintenance.
  • Manage data expectations across work streams and ensure business agreement on concerns raised.
  • Support ongoing roll-out of ERP system upgrades and implementations.
  • Maintain effective communication on data issues, resolutions, and closures.

 

 

Key requirements

 

  • Highly competent in the use of MS Excel & PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database querying languages is preferred
  • 1 -2 years minimum experience in data management related role
  • Knowledge of process and data modelling
  • Knowledge of the master data architecture
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting, developing and implementing ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical ability to comprehend and understand process issues
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, supply chain or financial system processes and associated technologies
  • Strong change management experience within a diverse, fast moving environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong communicator
