The Group is comprised of two divisions: Ornua Foods  and Ornua Ingredients.


 Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands, including Kerrygold, Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Kerrygold Avantage, Forto and BEO. Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and the US.


Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers. Ornua Ingredients is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US, and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.


The delivery of Ornua’s business strategy and performance goals for the operating model / global template will require transformation of processes and systems across our business. To ensure successful delivery of priority outcomes in line with Business, ICT strategy and people resources, strong principles and end-to-end governance of processes are essential. 


In order to maintain and strengthen the relationship between the business teams and ICT, the Global ICT Business Engagement position for middle office will perform a key partnership role. Bringing functional expertise and analyst skills to support the business requirements around Core ERP and associated supporting systems such as Supply, Demand and Forecast Planning.


The specific role focuses on the Middle Office functions which includes the following workstream areas:

-    Supply Chain (inc Customer Services and Warehousing)
-    Manufacturing
-    Quality

Key Responsibilities:
-    Develops and maintains a strong business partner relationship, balancing the needs of the business with the strategy of ICT and the Global Template.  
-    Working in conjunction with the relevant Business Process Owners, manages end to end processes, data (including data migration), information design and change through deployment projects for their global process set including the integration with other global processes. 
-    Focus on continuous improvement by working closely with the business and Business Process Owners, Super Users, and other stakeholders to identify and maximise opportunities to use knowledge and technology (e.g., support business process improvement / transformation and optimization in line with overall business strategy objectives. Promote the strategic use of information and enable the business / function to maximise the use of information and technology). 
-    Support the relevant Business Process Owner to embed the Ornua Global Template (for Middle Office functions) and associated ways of working to drive maximum use and benefit from new processes and associated systems.
-    Influences the ICT strategy and business requirements for their function(s) (Middle Office). Understands the value drivers behind the current ICT Strategy, in particular the core ERP Roadmap and integrated process, systems, and data agenda.
-    Working in conjunction with other parts of the ICT function, deliver the overall functional portfolio of applications for Middle Office projects / programs and services including cycle planning, prioritization, portfolio delivery, portfolio funding, and governance in conjunction with the ICT PMO.
-    Agreeing Global ICT Service definition including the agreement of Global ICT Service Levels and facilitating Service Level reviews with the Regional ICT Business Engagement, Global ICT Competency Centre, and other internal / external parties.
-    Analyse current and future technology trends for Middle Office to identify what technology can do to support, enhance or influence Ornua’s agenda. Benchmarks industry trends in the application of information technology in business processes for strategy development efforts.
-    Support relevant Business Transformation deployment activities such as Gap Fits, Sprints, UAT, BPS etc
-    Work alongside Regional ICT Business Engagement, Global Business Process Owners, and ICT Competency Centre to support post transformation BAU and overall new ways of working.

Key Requirements and Competencies:


-    Ideally 5 + years’ experience in supporting Middle Office functions
-    Strong change management experience within a diverse, fast moving environment.
-    Educated to a degree level preferable or proven / relevant process and IT experience required
-    Good communication skills, including the ability to listen
-    Experience of Business Transformation and Process Optimization in line with overall business strategy objectives in a large multi-national company. 
-    Experience in developing and implementing strategies. Strategic thinking and visioning, identify relevant opportunities, New technologies and business impacts, Generating solution and standards
-    Demonstrated capability to build and maintain good business relationships. Ability to maintain a holistic business perspective, build and sustains relationship, persuasive communication, and advocacy skills.
-    Deep experience in Business Process Data and Information Design Analysis & Solutions and Global Service Delivery. Experience interpreting business requirements, recognizing impact on business processes, and making recommendations
-    Information Systems exposure ERP and S&OP (Infor M3 will be an advantage)
-    Interpersonal skills: The ability to understand, listen and build business relationships with a capacity to anticipate and analyse business demand for change and information needs to ensure expectations are properly met.
-    Demonstrated capability to effectively lead cross-functional teams 
-    Training and knowledge of supported business domain areas
