Ornua is a leading dairy co-operative which sells premium dairy products globally on behalf of its Member Co-operatives, Ireland’s dairy processors and, in turn, Irish dairy farmers. 

 

Ornua has revenues of €3.4 billion and is supported by a global team of approximately 2,800 employees. The Group operates as a commercial organisation across 10 business units, including 12 production facilities located in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa. 

 

The commercial organisation is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Ireland’s most successful food export: Kerrygold. Consumer markets are served by production facilities in Ireland, Germany and the UK and by in-market Sales & Marketing Teams in Asia, Germany, Ireland, MEA, Poland, Spain, rest of Europe and North and Latin America. 

 

It also manages the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products, the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers globally, and the implementation of de-risking and trading strategies to manage market volatility. These activities are supported by production facilities and in-market teams in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa. 

 

Why the Role is Valuable 

Reporting to the Global Digital Lead, the Digital Brand Manager plays a vital role in operationalising Ornua’s digital strategy, ensuring the smooth, consistent, and effective day-to-day management of platforms, content, governance, and partner operations across global markets. By translating strategy into execution, this role helps maintain a cohesive brand presence, builds digital capability across teams, and ensures that digital initiatives are scalable, measurable, and aligned with commercial goals. It is a key enabler of Ornua’s evolving digital ecosystem and supports the growth of its consumer-facing brands. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage day-to-day digital operations across platforms, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely execution of global initiatives and campaigns. 

 

  • Oversee global content calendars and asset management, coordinating with markets and agency partners to ensure content relevance and impact  

 

  • Coordinate agency and vendor relationships, ensuring deliverables are strategically on-brand, on-budget, and aligned with timelines. 

 

  • Support the implementation of global reporting frameworks and dashboards (in partnership with CMK), tracking digital performance and helping drive continuous improvement. 

 

  • Support pilot programs, onboarding, and capability building initiatives to help scale digital maturity across Business Units (BUs) and functions. 

 

  • Act as an operational integrator, facilitating collaboration between central and local marketing teams, IT, legal, procurement, and other functions to ensure seamless digital execution. 

 

  • Maintain adherence to digital governance standards and workflows, helping to embed global best practices across markets. 

 

Key Requirements

  • Experience, across digital, social and content-focused roles within FMCG (food + beverage) familiar with complex global organisations or agencies.

 

  • Demonstrated ability to translate overarching brand and business strategy into practical channel frameworks, operating models and ways of working that can be consistently deployed across multiple markets.

 

  • Proven experience managing digital/social activity within multi-market environments, balancing global governance and standards with local market execution and cultural relevance.

 

  • Strong track record of working with, coordinating, and integrating multiple agency and vendor partners across strategy, content, production, creators, partnerships, media, and platform formats

 

  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across marketing, commercial, IT, legal, procurement, and related functions, with the confidence to influence decisions and navigate organisational complexity.

 

  • High level of strategic judgement and critical thinking, with the ability to prioritise effectively, manage ambiguity, and make informed trade-offs in fast-moving, evolving environments.

 

 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to operate as a trusted partner to both central teams and local markets.
