Ornua is a leading dairy co-operative which sells premium dairy products globally on behalf of its Member Co-operatives, Ireland’s dairy processors and, in turn, Irish dairy farmers. 

 

Ornua has revenues of €3.4 billion and is supported by a global team of approximately 2,800 employees. The Group operates as a commercial organisation across 10 business units, including 12 production facilities located in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa. 

 

The commercial organisation is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Ireland’s most successful food export: Kerrygold. Consumer markets are served by production facilities in Ireland, Germany and the UK and by in-market Sales & Marketing Teams in Asia, Germany, Ireland, MEA, Poland, Spain, rest of Europe and North and Latin America. 

 

It also manages the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products, the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers globally, and the implementation of de-risking and trading strategies to manage market volatility. These activities are supported by production facilities and in-market teams in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa. 

 

WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE: 

 

As the End User Computing (EUC) Lead, you will be responsible for the daytoday delivery, support, and continuous improvement of enduser IT services for a global workforce. The role focuses on providing reliable, secure, and wellsupported computing environments, enabling employees to work productively with minimal disruption.

 

You will lead a lean team of two support analysts and take ownership of device management, Microsoft 365 services, patching, and overall user experience. Working closely with Infrastructure, Service Delivery, and Security teams, you will help ensure operational efficiency, security, and compliance across all endpoints.

 

 

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

 

TEAM LEADERSHIP & SERVICE SUPPORT

  • Lead a team of EUC analysts to ensure timely and effective delivery of both BAU support and projectbased initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Infrastructure and wider IT team leads to support global business requirements and align on crossfunctional initiatives.
  • Own and manage incidents, changes, problems, and service requests in line with the ITILaligned service management framework.
  • Participate in the Infrastructure oncall rota and lead Major Incident (P1) resolution when required.

 

MICROSOFT 365 MANAGEMENT

  • Own and operate a global Microsoft 365 tenant (~3,000 users), including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and MS Intune.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 licensing to ensure cost optimisation, effective allocation, and compliance.
  • Lead endpoint and mobile device lifecycle management via Microsoft Intune, balancing security, compliance, and user experience.
  • Maintain data protection, compliance, and retention controls aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
  • Act as the senior escalation point, providing Level 3 expertise for Microsoft 365 services and integrations.

 

 

INFRASTRUCTURE & SECURITY SUPPORT

  • Provide senior leadership and oversight on digital workplace and infrastructure transformation initiatives, including identity, endpoint, collaboration, and data migration programmes.
  • Define and deliver secure EUC platforms and endpoint strategies across Windows, Intune, and related management services.
  • Ensure robust identity integration and directory services through effective management of Entra ID / Entra Connect.
  • Partner with Cyber Security team to strengthen the security and resilience of onpremises and cloudbased digital workplace services.
  • Drive continuous improvement across infrastructure platforms, security controls, and enduser experience.

 

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS: 

 

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline desirable, with equivalent experience considered.
  • 7+ years’ experience delivering End User Computing / Digital Workplace services in an enterprise environment, including 2+ years in a senior or lead role with accountability for Microsoft 365 tenant management
  • Proven experience leading or supervising a small technical team within an End User Computing or Infrastructure support environment, including workload prioritisation, escalation management, and service delivery oversight.
  • Strong technical expertise across Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Intune, Entra ID, and core tenant administration.
  • Solid operational experience delivering and supporting End User Computing services, including Windows OS environments, Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and virtual desktop platforms (AVD/VDI).
  • Demonstrated experience managing Microsoft 365 compliance, information governance, and data retention policies aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
  • Indepth knowledge of identity and access management, including Entra ID, Entra Connect, Auto-Pilot, SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy, and hybrid identity synchronisation.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting capability, including use of Microsoft 365 modules and Microsoft Graph for automation, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Broad understanding of core infrastructure components supporting EUC services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) and their impact on device reliability and user experience.
  • Ability to balance technical, operational, and business priorities, ensuring service stability, licence compliance, and alignment with security and governance standards.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear operational processes, team guidance, and userfacing materials.
  • Certifications:
    • Microsoft 365 & Intune Administrator (MS-102 and MD-102) preferred but not mandatory
    • Modern Workplace Engineer (Device + Identity Focus) (MD-102, SC-300 and MS-102) preferred but not mandatory
    • ITIL Foundation certification is beneficial.
