WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE
Role Summary
The Assistant Brand Manager (ABM) role will be part of Ornua Foods International (OFI). OFI manages the sale and marketing of the Kerrygold brand within Ireland, southern and northern Europe, Asia and Oceania.
The ABM will support the Brand Manager in developing the integrated annual brand plans for Ireland and will support in select European markets.
The ABM will support in-market activation and events, creative development, innovation pipeline delivery and the implementation of brand strategy, whilst delivering targeted commercial and brand metrics for the Ornua Foods International Team.
The ABM will support on the implementation of brand plans for Kerrygold with a focus on Ireland, and support required across four key focus European markets (Greece, Poland, The Netherlands and Spain).
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Assist in the annual brand planning process that will deliver the strategic growth objectives with a robust, targeted and results-oriented programme of initiatives.
- Support in brand guardianship, ensuring any new creative output from social, PR and content adheres to brand guidelines.
- Working in tandem with the Commercial team on building and executing effective and best-in-class trade marketing plans. Monitor consumer/shopper KPIs to help measure success against strategic drivers.
- Responsible for managing and monitoring consumer complaints and enquiries, responding in a timely and appropriate fashion and reporting on monthly trends to the business.
- In close collaboration with Ornua’s innovation team, marketing leads and commercial managers, assist in researching product innovation opportunity in European markets and support in preparing a robust business case for product innovations.
- Working in conjunction with the Brand Manager, media and PR agencies to track and analyse in-campaign results and distilling them to share with the wider Food Business.
- Support in tracking marketing budget for Ireland A&P and provide reporting accordingly in working with the Brand Manager and Finance Business Partner.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, arts, or food related discipline.
- Experience in CPG brand marketing or relevant experience, client or agency.
- Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated track record of on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Strong record of success and experience managing external creative and media agencies in development of outstanding work and on-time execution.
- Sales and/or marketing experience in the FMCG or comparable branded sectors, including relevant international exposure.
