WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE
This role supports the Ingredients EU Sales team from the Ávila facility by managing day to day customer activities, including sales forecasting, price file management, sample coordination and business development activities. This role is the primary point of contact for a number of customers, with support from the commercial director europe.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Sales:
· Be the main point of contact with a specific number of customers supporting back-office activities.
· Communicating important customer feedback to internal stakeholders.
· Actively participating in the costing process, from customer requests to margin review, including updating internal cost files and price lists in the ERP system.
· Communicating and negotiating prices with customers with support of the commercial director.
· Generating and maintaining high-quality customer data in Salesforce based on captured information.
· Requesting, coordinating, and following up on product samples according to agreed timelines, ensuring clear and timely communication with customers.
· Updating customer information and initiating required workflows to ensure accurate ERP data; creating or amending customer accounts as needed after collecting all relevant information from key contacts.
· Preparing sales data for internal and external reviews (e.g. S&OP meetings).
· Managing the resolution of customer issues and inquiries promptly, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
· Coordinating with supply chain and operations to ensure timely delivery and service excellence.
· Local lead for global business units’ sales (e.g., Ornua Ingredients International and Ornua Ingredients Europe (UK)).
· Identifying and pursuing additional sales opportunities when they arise.
Marketing:
· Analyzing and delivering consumer insights and market data using internal strategic tools to support business decisions.
· Preparing ad hoc reports for decision-makers, including research on new products, claims, and market trends.
· Supporting internal communication initiatives across teams.
· Producing marketing materials tailored to specific needs for our brands in the UK and commercial teams across Europe (e.g. sales sheets, flyers, 3D artwork, trade show materials, merchandising).
· Preparing and delivering presentations for customer visits, from deck creation to presenting marketing insights and key messages.
· Ensuring alignment with corporate teams (Communications & Insights).
· Managing relationships with external marketing suppliers and agencies (creative, print, digital), ensuring quality, timing, and budget compliance.
· Executing local branding initiatives, ensuring alignment with global brand guidelines while adapting to market needs.
· Managing marketing budgets and tracking expenses.
· Supporting product launches at local level, including materials, communication, and coordination with stakeholders.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
· Essential
o Minimum of 2 years of Sales or Customer Service experience in a professional environment.
o Good interpersonal and communication skills.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
o Strong desire to learn, develop, and succeed.
o Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
o Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands and priorities (“can do” attitude).
o Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
o Proficiency in both Spanish and English

o Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
o Experience in the food industry.
o ERP system experience, ideally M3.
o Sales Force experience.
o Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) and Canva.
